I recently found Anthony White at Creative and Art Therapy Services, as my child was struggling to adjust to starting a new secondary school. Coming from outside the area and not knowing anyone at such a large school was daunting and overwhelming for her. She was finding it difficult to make friends and settle into her new environment. I spoke with Anthony about my concerns, and he took the time to coach and guide me on how I could best support my child. He helped me gain a better understanding of what she may be experiencing and gave me practical strategies and a clear plan to follow. We’ve already started putting some of these strategies in place, particularly around understanding the root of the difficulties and developing coping mechanisms, and I feel this has really helped.
